New External Website Announcement
Dear Texas Tech Health El Paso community,
The Institutional Advancement team is pleased to announce that our university’s redesigned academic website will go live on Thursday, April 3. The site will have a modern look and allow visitors to quickly find information they need.
When making website content requests, please keep in mind this site is for external users and is the front door/first impression for all visitors and potential recruits, as well as community members.
If you are responsible for your department or organization’s website content, please read this email carefully, as there are new process steps.
Here’s what you need to know:
Temporary Pause on Website Updates
During the transition to the new academic website, our webmasters will pause website updates beginning 5 p.m. Friday, March 28, until the website is launched on Thursday, April 3.
External and Internal Sites
With the redesign, we’ll have two sites: One external, and one internal.
The external site is ttuhscep.edu, offering public-facing pages for site visitors interested in learning more about our university, schools, careers, community programs, etc.
The internal site is my.ttuhscep.edu, which is our intranet for policies and procedures, reports, forms, and other information used by faculty, residents, staff and students.Intranet pages will require an eRaider login.
Review Your Site
If you are responsible for maintaining your department or organization’s website, please review it after the launch. If you are missing content, submit your updates via SysAid.
Requesting updates via the SysAid self-service system:
- Updates to ttuhscep.edu: There is a new, two-step process for submitting content to the external site:
- Step 1: Use our online MS Word document generator on the IA Website Support page to create your content and instructions for the webmasters. Using Word (instead of pasting content into a SysAid ticket) will help our editors and webmasters ensure your content is posted correctly on the external website.
- Step 2: Submit your ttuhscep.edu SysAid request with your Word document attached to
the ticket.
- Updates to my.ttuhscep.edu: For updates to our intranet, use the SysAid forms for my.ttuhscep.edu.
You can find links to the SysAid forms for all the websites IA manages—and the online Word document generators—on the IA Website Support page. Be sure to bookmark it.
