ILL Agreement

I agree to all of the following:

I am an employee, student, FOTL or library contract holder with the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
I understand that the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Libraries of the Health Sciences will charge me for each Interlibrary Loan. I am responsible for these charges and will pay them promptly. If authorized, fees may be charged to a departmental account number. Click here for the current fee schedule.
Interlibrary Loan is not a substitute for the purchase of class textbooks and may not be used to fill textbook requirements for course work.
Interlibrary Loan provides access to materials not owned by the TTUHSC Libraries. In order to maintain a positive working relationship with libraries who lend to TTUHSC, you are responsible for returning your ILL item on or before the due date indicated on the cover slip. Failure to do so will result in overdue fines.

Notice: Warning concerning copyright restrictions

The copyright law of the U.S. (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of a copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproductions. One of the specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.

Note: TTUHSC Library is a participant of the Copyright Clearance Center. Requested photocopies may be subject to an additional copyright royalty fee.
